Imported kaolin is a mineral material with high whiteness, large specific surface area, good insulation and thermal stability obtained from natural kaolin through calcination, dehydration, and removal of volatile substances. Imported kaolin has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, solvent resistance, acid and alkaline resistance, as well as good reinforcement and processing properties, and is widely used in industries such as paint, coatings, papermaking, rubber and plastic products, cables, ceramics, etc. The surface modification of imported kaolin involves purposefully altering the original physical and chemical properties of its surface according to the application needs.

Surface modification mechanism: By utilizing surface chemistry, functional groups in organic molecules are adsorbed or chemically reacted on the surface of kaolin particles, coating their surface and making the surface of imported kaolin organic.

Surface modification purpose:

It is necessary to change the properties of the interface between kaolin powder and improve the affinity between imported kaolin and organic polymer materials;

Improve the dispersibility in organic polymer materials, enhance the various properties of products, and play a functional role;

Increase the filling amount of imported kaolin, improve product grade, and reduce product costs.
